❝ spring for flirting but fall for the untamed delicious wild things ❞

Chasin
Namely a haunted hay ride. Sometime he needed a partner to go with. Stupid but whatever he'd just grab someone.
Spotting someone alone, he grinned and went over to tap a shoulder. "Hey wanna have some fun?"

And Esen’s in awe of it.
His trip to this world is supposed to be brief: a contingent of their movement had to relocate suddenly and were in dire need of basic supplies. Esen doesn’t usually do much off-world travelling and it shows. Thankfully, everyone around him seems too caught up in their own adventures to take note of him.
That is, until someone taps him on the shoulder.
“Hey wanna have some fun?”
What would one evening enjoying a taste of this harmless sort of fun hurt? He’d only be cooped up in his hotel room until his small entourage departs in the morning. It seemed like these activities would be a little more memorable shared with another.
So he smiles and nods. “Sure.”
no subject
Hopping up, he sat with his brand new friend and then nudged him with his arm.
"You into scary shit? They're telling me it's supposed to be the scariest they've ever done but I'm ready for it to be funny instead."
no subject
His glove hand hesitated only a fraction of a second before curling around the stranger’s. Well, they were friends if only for this haunted hay ride. Trust wasn’t something that came easily to him, all things considered. It was risky. But what were the chances of someone knowing him on this world? He didn’t have the prolific reputation many of his world’s rebellion possessed. There were perks to being behind the scenes. And Esen didn’t travel off-world often, even more of a safety net. He didn’t have to run like so many of the others did.
Maybe that’s why it didn’t occur to him that this person could be a threat.
“There will probably be jump scares at worst,” he mused. What he considered scary didn’t align with what this holiday seemed to be about.

He looked over his shoulder to see if they were going to start soon. Yep. They were on their way.
"Usually I can do these on my own or join a random group but they said partners for this one. Probably some dating opportunity for big strong tops to protect their baby bottoms."
( still phone tagging )
That last part nearly had Esen laughing again. Just the mental image of it. Something about Chasin’s boldness was a little endearing. He would definitely become a ‘person if interest’ were they in Esen’s world. Everything about him screamed individuality. More so than most he encountered here.
If they were going to be friends for the evening… Esen finally dropped his hand to reveal a warm smile. “What’s your name?”

This is the kind of thing he's fighting for on his own world. This is the sort of thing he's risking so much to achieve. A day when people are free to gather with no purpose beyond the joy of each other's company. A day when people can laugh and just have fun, when children can be children. This is all part of the vision he has for his own world.
Being on the run definitely has its negatives, but it has positives too. Like getting a view of what things could be like, and to form an image of what things will be like if he has his way.
Insu jumps when he's tapped on the shoulder. He just came here for the experience of it, not to actually do anything. And especially not to actually get noticed. He has his hood pulled up and is wearing a cloth mask over the lower half of his face for that very reason (his face isn't only known on his own world, after all). He's trying to blend in and he thought it was working pretty well, given all the costumes and such around. He considers ignoring the person and simply asking like he didn't notice but the word 'fun' stops him in his tracks. He doesn't get to just have fun.
"Me?" he asks, turning to look at the one who'd tapped him on the shoulder. "I'd love to!"

It would probably throw a normal person to see someone looking like this guy even on a holiday like this. But not Chasin. He truly didn't give a fuck and just grinned as he took the guy's hand to haul him over to the hay ride. Helping him up, he hopped up next to him.
"Usually you do this alone or in groups. But for some reason you have to have a partner for this one. Probably some romance thing to let tops protect their bottoms. Scary shit and all that."
Leaning back on his hands, he let his legs swing. "Now we can have fun with it and not have to worry about that dating stuff."
lissa.
They come across a medieval tavern decked out in Halloween finery with fabric ghosts in the windows and lights strung across the bartop. It's easier to blend in here, especially when she has a black mask, hair pulled back into a sleek ponytail, clad in a figure-hugging jumpsuit. There are, of course, cat ears atop her head to complete the look. Not the most creative, but it was the best she could do having learned of this outing only yesterday.
Having fed beforehand, she feels entirely at ease in the crowd, though she does feel a little annoyed at having to wait so long to order a pumpkin-flavored beer. (The tavern does not have fancy cocktails.)
"Pardon me... hello?"

Between popping in and out of parties (crashing mostly), he’s been keeping himself busy. As the night goes on, the local bars grow more crowded and draw his interest. The sound of a familiar voice over the din of conversation grabs his interest immediately. Working through the crush of people, many of whom, like Lissa, are still waiting on drinks, creepy clown Matthias offers a smile.
“They’re horribly understaffed here,” he sighed.
no subject
"So I've heard," she muses dryly, giving a little sigh. Drinks can wait a bit now that he's here.
She lets her eyes flick over him with interest before settling her expression into a warm smile. "And to whom am I speaking tonight?" Lissa teases, stepping closer to him even if this puts her spot at the bar at risk. There are others waiting for a spot at the front. It's tempting to flash her teeth but she doesn't want to cause a stir tonight. Even if it would be so easy to do so during the holiday.
no subject
"Who, indeed?" He grins at the question, though. This is a fun game they have going on and Matthias loves little more than games. "I think I'll be Mads, tonight." The smile doesn't fade as he runs a hand down Lissa's arm to twine his fingers with hers. "I happen to know a place to get a drink that doesn't have a line. Can I interest you?"
no subject
She knows Matthias isn't good news, but to her, he's never been especially bad. At least bad in ways that aren't to her benefit.
"Mads," Lissa murmurs with a grin, leaning in close so she can whisper in his ear. "You're not going to spirit me away to another country, are you?"
no subject
"I was thinking somewhere a little closer tonight." Like, his place, for example.
Janus 🚀
The city he's chosen this year has shut down a three-block-long stretch of road so that people wander from business to business (read: bar to bar) without having to worry about getting mowed down by a car because they're maybe slightly inebriated. Jan's found himself a hilariously inappropriate ~sexy spaceman~ costume to wear, complete with a pair of shiny silver shorts and a cropped "space jacket". It's so stupid and Jan laughs every time he sees himself reflected in a window.
His butt looks good, though.
Bottle of pumpkin spice liqueur clutched in his hand, Jan marches up to the first person he sees who doesn't look otherwise wholly occupied and taps them on the shoulder before lifting the bottle when they turn. "Cheers?"
no subject
Which is to say, Matthias is someone who looks wholly unoccupied. When he turns after being tapped on the shoulder, he doesn't even try to be subtle about the way he looks Janus over. A brow lifts and he makes a little twirling gesture. Turn, please. Let him take in the full effect of that barely-there costume.
Then he pouts, just a little. "I don't have a drink. Buy one for me?"
no subject
Jan unscrews the cap and takes a slow drink, eyes on the pretty stranger all the while, before he pulls the bottle away from his lips. He holds it out and gives it another little wiggle, lips quirked into a half-smile. "It's like sugar with some alcohol in it."
no subject
He whistles appreciatively, clapping his hands at the little show this stranger put on for him (and anyone else who might be looking). He'll pretend it's just for him, though. Matthias is self-centered like that.
"Ohh," he purrs with a grin. "Just out there getting others to buy you drinks, hm~?" There's not a single note of disapproval in his voice. No, indeed, he's very entertained and that makes for a happy little demon. His smile shifts subtly when he watches Janus drink from the bottle, eyes focused more on the man's lips than anything else. Why be subtle on a night like this?
He takes the offered bottle with a nod and a half-smirk in thanks. "Gotta love pumpkin spice season."
no subject
"'Tis the season when we're all able to embrace our most basic instincts without judgment. Not that I'm ever particularly afraid of being judged for something." Jan grins and lets out a bright laugh before he holds out his now free hand. "Name's Janus. Friends and potential paramours just call me Jan."

I am not sorry in the least for this.
It's maybe a half hour of this before he finally sighs and makes his way close enough to level him with, you guessed it, the most unimpressed stare.
"We came back to Earth for this?"
no subject
Jan grins and leans back against the wall behind him, crossing his legs at the ankles as he smiles up at Laurent. He's relatively certain lesser beings would have abandoned the man on some far-flung planet when the realization that he's not exactly fun dawned on them but Jan is nothing if not stubborn. And clingy.
Mostly clingy.
"This is the only planet in the entire solar system that has a Halloween. I mean there are some places with similar traditions but humans are dedicated to this. It's honestly kind of impressive." One of his feet kicks out and he lightly nudges at Laurent's leg with it. "You're just not having fun because you wouldn't put on the Dracula costume."
no subject
"That costume would not have made this more fun." At least it wasn't some sexy version of Dracula. That would have added insult to injury. No, he's quite content with his everyday clothes, thanks.
Laurent let out a soft sigh, looking at the people around him. "Yes, they are dedicated," he admits with a small note of fondness. "As are you."
no subject
He's making it his life's mission to figure out how to get Laurent to crack a smile on command. As it stands, that little hint of something soft is enough to make Jan smile and he straightens himself up as he pushes away from the wall. He steps closer toward Laurent and gently pokes him in the chest as he peers up at him, the couple of inches in height difference still making him happy on the inside. "Come on, what do we gotta do to make sure you at least have a little bit of a good time while we're here, huh? It's just for tonight and we're heading back up before dawn."
Jan lets his eyes sweep the crowd around them as he hums thoughtfully. "There's a good time here for you somewhere, I just know it."

And who is Matthias to judge them for that? He has a good time seeing their creativity (and he'd be lying if he said he wasn't a fan of whatever 'sexy' version of mundane things people come up with).
Unfortunately for him, Matthias' apartment is high up from the ground so he doesn't get a lot in the way of trick-or-treaters. So, he's claimed the roof again to throw his own little Halloween shindig. There's a sign he made outside the building advertising it to anyone who passes by. Does it matter if they don't know him? Not at all! They'll know him once they pop up onto the roof. He tapped arrows with little encouragement like 'you've made it this far' and 'you're almost there!' all through the building's halls.
Once on the roof, any visitors will be greeted by the sight of so many glowing jack-o-lanterns carved into ornate faces and scenes. There's a table with a variety of foods: mostly candy, charcuterie, and crudités. There are also drinks, hot and cold as well a variety of alcoholic beverages. He would've hired a bartender, but this is all sort of.... not approved of by the building management.
There aren't any chairs, but little cushions and blankets around for people to rest and relax on. Oh, and who could miss the Bluetooth speakers situated all around pumping out everyone's favorite creepy songs. Hope you like Thriller and the Monster Mash. Whenever someone new appears in the doorway, Matthias is there to greet them, more often than not already pressing a drink into their hand.
