Mijoo is quiet as they enter the elevator, the energy slowly draining from her body, the last bits of early morning adrenaline wearing off. All she wants to do is sleep everything off, but first, she has to make sure this little guy is okay.
Yawning, she shuffles into the hallway once they reach her floor and easily enters her apartment, sliding her shoes off and into her slippers. Setting the kitten down, she stretches.
"You hungry? I have some... hm, some broccoli and carrots I can steam, I guess. No cat food."
Wiggling out of the scarf, Felix shakes what little rain got on him from his body, then each leg in turn. He turns to peer up at Mijoo when she speaks, tilting his head with a strange understanding in his eyes. He isn't terribly hungry, not if it means keeping an obviously tired friend up longer! So instead, he pads off in the direction that smells most like her. That's got to be where she sleep, after all!
And once he finds it, he's quick to hop up on the bed. Not hungry, just sleepy.
Well, that just about answers her question. He's a smart little thing from what Mijoo can tell. With that confirmation, she yawns, stretching one arm above her head. It truly had been a long night.
She shrugs off her outerwear and hangs it on a hook on her apartment door, plucking the scarf up off the floor and draping it across another hook. Humming to herself, she disappears into her bathroom to wash her face off and change into her pajamas - the shower can wait for now. Running a comb through her hair as she reenters, face fresh if a bit sleepy-eyed.
"I'll figure things out with you later today," she promises as she pulls the covers up and slides in, tugging her eye mask down her face and settling into sleep, leaving ample room for the cat to settle in next to her as well.
Felix is even thoughtful enough not to plop his furry bottom in the middle of the bed. No, he stayed off to one side to give Mijoo room. But once she settles in, he moves closer to snuggle. She must be cold from the rain without fur to keep her warm(er) and dry(er).
Just don't mind that poor Mijoo is going to wake up to a grown man in a lion kigurumi cuddling with her.
She is warm. It's always easy for her to drift off to sleep when she's had a long overnight shift at work, but having a warm body - even a tiny one - is more than enough to put her at ease. Her dreams are peaceful, a little romantic and magical, perhaps good inspiration for future paid content if she remembers to write any of this down when she wakes up.
However, she is so comfortable, she almost doesn't realize that the warmth on her side has grown. Mijoo's accustomed to bringing one-night-stands home, she's used to a warm body in a bed that she often has to shoo out and never call again.
Instead of flying into a panic when she finally does wake up, she lays remarkably still as if uncertain she is awake. It's only when her nose begins to itch that she moves, lifting an arm to scratch it with a sweater-paw covered hand.
