The trip from East to West was an arduous one, especially for Laurent. Oh, they always booked passage for two and had prepared excuses for why Laurent was always conspicuously absent. Motion sickness always works. And as for the very large valise? Well, they have a lot since they're moving abroad.
Once they finally reach the Italian coast, Laurent couldn't be happier. Travelling in a box didn't suit a lively creature such as himself. Their villa's perfect, with breathtaking views of the coast. Well, almost perfect. Laurent spent his first few nights arranging flowers around the place to make it feel more like home. He'd made sure to secure some discreet servants who would, hopefully, not gossip much about his odd hours to run daytime errands and keep the house.
By week's end everything's settled. Their clothes are unpacked, the apartments furnished, and flowers in every room. When evening came, Elyas could find Laurent on the balcony, taking in the view of the vast expanse of inky dark sea stretching out endlessly. The sea air smells lovely and refreshing. Laurent might be a little in love with it. And when his fox finally joins him, he reaches blindly for Elyas' hand and draws it to his cool lips.
While far less difficult than it was for Laurent, travel had been hard for Elyas as well. Oh, he has the ability to move about freely as he's not governed by the sun or lack thereof, but being separated from his beloved is always tough. When the hours stretch on for too long, it starts to feel like he's mourning a loss, despite knowing that he'll see Laurent again. It's different when they're home, when they're in their own space together, then the heartache of leaving Laurent to spend a few hours with the sun is much less. Then he can come home with stories and gifts! He can come home with beautiful flowers and sun-warmed cheeks to nuzzle against his vampire.
But while they travel, there are few pleasant things to do to truly keep the fox occupied and few things to surprise Laurent with when he sees him again so all he can truly do is pine for his love.
Elyas is outside in their newly planted flower garden, lovingly tending to them as he speaks incessantly of Laurent, when the sun finally dips far enough down under the horizon. He chirps a quick 'I'll see you later' to the plants then heads inside in search of Laurent.
He stops in his tracks the moment he sees Laurent standing out on the balcony. He needs to truly appreciate this sight. His vampire, with his hair lightly blowing in the sea breeze and standing against the backdrop of the dark sky, gently silhouetted by the moon. Truly a breathtaking sight.
Soon enough, however, Elyas joins Laurent at his side, smiling softly at the brush of cool lips against his warm skin. Then he leans out over the railing of the balcony a little, looking down at the sea crashing against the rocks.
"Oh it's wonderful so far! It's everything I'd never even thought to dream of. Oh, I wish you could see the countryside in the daytime though. It's beautiful."
Turning slightly so he can gaze at his beloved fox, a subtle smile curls one corner of his lips. "Tell me of it," he murmurs warmly. "Paint a picture of it for me." It isn't an unusual request. Indeed, Laurent often asks it of Elyas when he begins lamenting Laurent's inability to walk under the sun. And everytime he listens with rapt attention, hanging on the fox's every word as if there were nothing more important in the whole wide world.
But was there anything more important than the words formed by Elyas' lips? But the joy that lights in his eyes when he recounts his adventures? Ah, no. Laurent thinks not. He could read property deeds to the vampire and the world would stop for him to listen.
Elyas gives the rocks down below a final parting glance before he straightens and turns to face the love of his life. He holds Laurent's hand up to his cheek as a smile spreads across his face. While he'll often tell Laurent at least a few details about his day - even if it's nothing more exciting than taking an afternoon nap out in the garden - he absolutely delights in his vampire specifically requesting it. He loves getting to share a world with Laurent that he can't be a part of. He loves knowing that Laurent wants to share in that world that he'll never see.
Not that the fox ever had any doubts about such things.
He hums thoughtfully to himself as he turns his head to place a soft kiss against Laurent's palm, then places his beloved's hand back against his cheek. "I found a small dirt path off of the main road that I decided to follow that lead out to a beautiful stretch of land. Soft, rolling green hills on one side completely blanketed in wild flowers of every colour. I think I'm going to go back and pick some for you tomorrow. On the other side of the path was the sea. Oh, it's so beautiful in the daytime, my love. Such a brilliant blue and the way it sparkles in the sunlight is like nothing I'd ever seen before. We should walk down there at night sometime. I'm sure the water will look absolutely otherworldly under the moonlight." Said as though they don't have their own incredible view of the water right from here.
Laurent's eyes fall closed as Elyas describes the path he took. If there is one thing the vampire missed about the day, it's the brilliance of color. Perhaps that's why he's so fond of rich, saturated colors in his home and attire. He longs for the dazzling blues and violets of the day which he can never again have.
While the moon is a beauty in and of itself, its light is (quite literally) only a pale reflection of that gleaming star.
A soft sigh escapes him as he pictures it: grass-green hills, the green only visible in small pockets between the rainbow of flower petals. The sea as bright as sapphires glimmering in the mid-day light. And, of course, his otherworldly fox strolling down the lane, skin warm and oh-so-alive. What a lovely picture, indeed.
Opening his eyes once more, Laurent's fingers move gently against Elyas' cheek. Still warm and alive, of course. Ah, how he savors that. The heat that rolls off his beloved's body, the flush of life in his skin, the subtle sensation of his blood moving through him in an echo of his steady pulse.
"It is early still. Shall we take a stroll while there is life going on around us?"

Elyas closes his eyes and gently nuzzles Laurent's cool fingers. The vampire's touch always makes his skin burn in the most delightful way. It's like curling up in front of a fire that's been made just for him. Ah how he wishes sometimes that Laurent could warm his skin under the sun, even just for a moment. Just to once again feel that which he's been denied for so long. Or to catch a glimpse of the wildflowers that Elyas will never be able to accurately describe.
But that's not a chance he'd ever take with Laurent. He would never risk losing him for just a moment in the sun.
Elyas' eyes snap open and he practically bounces on his feet at Laurent's suggestion. They haven't been out much together since they've arrived, what with trying to get everything settled in their villa. Granted, they're no strangers to quiet, late night strolls on empty roads, the first new nights seemed better spent at home, watching as it really started to come alive around them. Curled up together in a room that had finally been deemed complete, or standing on this very balcony, enjoying the sea breeze and the sounds of the waves crashing against the rocks below. That has been a wonderful experience. His mountain had no view of the ocean, though it was home to many lovely river and streams. Nothing compares to the sound of the waves and there's been at least once already that Elyas has fallen asleep on the balcony while listening to them.
"Oh yes! Yes we shall! Perhaps I can introduce you to some of the lovely people I've met!" Elyas has no interest in people beyond what they can provide for him. They only try to take from him and he has little use for thieves. Oh, the introductions will serve more as a way to point out the people he's had his eye on.
He can't help the small giggle the bubbles up at Elyas' enthusiasm. He's so full of energy, as one would expect of a fox. Will he ever tire of it? He hasn't yet. And Laurent can envision no future where Elyas' nature is anything but a pure joy to him.
He lets his hand linger a moment more against that warm cheek, tracing the curve of it with his thumb, before dropping it to take hold of one of Elyas' hands instead. Of course, he's pleased to finally get a chance to leave the villa with Elyas and experience a bit more of this charming little seaside town. Laurent chose it for Elyas, so he would be able to exist in a place of beauty, near the water, but positioned high on a hill. As much like the fox's home as he could create.
But Laurent's eyes sharpen at the suggestion of introductions. They often hunt together since they often share a meal. Something truly predatory creeps subtly into his expression and he nods, giving Elyas' hand a squeeze. "Lead the way, my love. I am most eager to meet your new friends."
One would imagine that if one creature was to tire of the other, it would have long since happened by now. They've been together long enough, now, that they well know the ins and outs of each other, personality quirks and eccentricities. They know enough about each other than it could be assumed they'd know if they could be together until the end of time.
Elyas knows that they'll be together until the sun burns out of the sky, casting both the fox and his beloved vampire into eternal darkness. In the end, they don't need anything but each other, after all.
Taking one last look over the vast, inky sea as though he may never return to see it again (ah, Laurent truly did choose the perfect location), Elyas turns to start toward the door, gently tugging Laurent along with him. Oh this promises to be a wonderful night. A serene walk under the moon and stars with his enchanting vampire, perhaps sitting down on the shore wrapped in each other's arms. Elyas will show Laurent where the field is wildflowers is, even if they've tucked themselves away for the night (if only he were able to coax one into waking up for him so that Laurent might see just how pretty they are!).
They'll also get to meet the locals. He'll get to introduce Laurent to all of the lovely people he's managed to charm with his cute smile and bright personality. Some of the older ones seem to have already become completely enamored with him over the last few days. They're always so easy to get for the fresh-faced fox. It's adorable, actually. "You'll love them, Laurent! I think they should still be out. It's still early enough. If not, I'll make sure to bring them out to you." His kind have no restrictions on entering homes, after all.
"I'll leave it up to you to pick someone for us to get to know better."
It had to be perfect! Laurent will accept nothing less than perfection for his beloved fox.
Laurent easily follows where Elyas leads. He would follow Elyas into the dawn if that's where he led. As long as his last sight was Elyas, nothing else matters. But for now, they're able to enjoy an evening stroll. It's early enough in the night that people are still wandering the streets and some of the cafes are still open.
In the cover of dark, they look no different than any other couple enjoying the evening air, walking arm-in-arm beneath the sea of stars. Laurent has his predator's sight to help him discern the details of this lovely place. Lines and shapes, movement, all but color, are perfectly clear to his eyes. So he pays rapt attention to those things Elyas points out to him as they walk.
"Do you wish to invite a guest home with us tonight?"
Oftentimes during their walks, Elyas bounds off ahead (though never straying too far. These are times meant to be shared with his eternal love, after all), or in circles around his Laurent like a puppy being offered its first taste of freedom, but other times, he prefers walking just like this: arm-in-arm with the most beautiful creature he's ever had the pleasure of laying eyes on. Especially bathed in moonlight with the stars twinkling overhead. If he could, he'd never even so much as blink again for fear of missing out on a precious moment with his beloved.
Elyas points to a small path that leads away from the road that clearly wasn't intended to be there. A narrow footpath that'll take one to the flowers and the sea. "That's the path I walked down earlier. You can see the field of flowers from here. I'll take you there later to see them, even though they're all curled up and sleeping at this time of day. Though maybe I can find a few who are a little stubborn and up later than they should be. Oh! And we can explore a little further down the path together. I didn't have the chance to today. The sun had started setting and I wanted to be back before you woke up." He rarely allows himself to be too far away when it's getting to be time for Elyas and his love to be reunited once more.
Then he frowns and points a little further up the road. "I ran into a child and her mean dog up there. She was a cute little thing with bright orange pigtails and freckles all over her face. She was delighted by the colour of my hair and wanted me to come play with her but her dog wouldn't stop growling at me so I had to shoo her away." Dogs can smell what he is and tend to snap at him. It's startling sometimes. He likes to avoid them when he can.
Ah but the frown doesn't last. It's gone the moment they pass by that particular spot and his eyes practically sparkle as he looks up at his vampire with a bright smile. "Oh, yes! Let's invite a guest! I love having company."
Ah, a child. A creature that hasn't yet had the wonder and openness drilled out of them. Truly one of the greatest crimes humans commit against each other is that. That thought flees as the frown bows his beloved fox's lips. Laurent despises it on him. How dare something make Elyas feel anything joy and contentment? Laurent has a similar problem with many animals, as well, though.
But it's gone quickly enough that Laurent's ire toward the animals he's never even encountered eases. That dazzling smile is enough to make him recall the youthful flutterings of his heart when he still walked beneath the sun's light. Who needs the sun when they have this? An eternal love that's renewed and strengthened with each passing moment.
"Let us see the flower tomorrow," he suggests. "If we're to entertain tonight, we should hurry to find your friends before they retire." He leans a bit closer, dropping his voice to quietly murmur, "I am fiercely hungry." For more than just human blood, his tone implies.
While Elyas may have little use for humans, he usually quite likes their children. He likes to play with them and tell them stories about his mountain as well as his love and they listen so intently. He tells them stories of nine-tailed foxes and vampires and they giggle. And then they play pretend as a whole host of different creatures. They always seem to choose him to be the fox because of his bright red hair. Of course he never protests!
But only when the adults aren't around. He won't even pretend to be a fox in their presence. Even if these people know nothing of his kind, he won't take that chance. Besides, adults ruin all the fun.
Elyas nods his head enthusiastically. Oh that's a much better idea! If they were to go and visit the fields before they get to the tiny, populated area of town, they might miss out on meeting Elyas' new friends. And if they decide to go after, they can't take their time entertaining their guest. Going tomorrow is a brilliant idea. It'll give Elyas a chance to make their night absolutely perfect.
His smile changes with the drop of his beloved Laurent's voice. It becomes softer, yet almost predatory. "Then let's find our guest and get them home quickly." Oh, but the fox is also eager for a little more than human meat, as evidenced by the way he picks up his pace a little.
Well, on that they're agreed! Children are sweet and generally unburdened by mundane worries. Laurent is usually too late to play with children who've mostly been called home by the time he rises. But he always makes such happy sighs and smiles when Elyas recounts his time with them to him. Ah, but is it any surprise his fox has a silver tongue and paints for Laurent the most delightful stories of how he spends his time in the sun?
"I do long to see your flowers," he adds, just in case there were any doubts. Even if only by night, when their colors are impossible to discern and their petals folded closed, Laurent wants to see them with his own eyes. Because of Elyas' words, it's all too easy for him to imagine them blooming and awash in color. He wants to listen to the sea from the path Elyas found and revel in the lingering scent of those wildflowers.
Yes, he longs to walk that path with his lover, but he's also hungry. Between resting from their long journey and directing how the villa should be decorated and run... Well, he hasn't taken the time to feed. The hunger is beginning to scratch at the edges of his mind, threatening to outright claw through his human mask of decorum and civility. Laurent doesn't like to deny himself for any great stretches of time lest he let the monster lurking inside him loose.
Oh, he wouldn't care much for the wholesale slaughter of a town to slake his thirst, but if he ever harmed Elyas? Well, he couldn't live with that. And so he wouldn't risk it.
"Tell me about the one you've chosen, my love? A man? A woman? What do they look like? What do they smell like? Tell me everything!"
Alas, by the time the children are allowed to be out when Laurent is awake, they're too told to be any more fun. They don't care to hear about his beautiful mountain and they've no interest in his love. They try to poke holes in his stories about nine-tailed foxes and vampires and call him a liar when he tells them it's all true. And they most certainly don't want to play with him anymore. Children who are allowed out after dark are no better than the useless adults.
Elyas doesn't like to tell Laurent about those things though. He'd prefer to tell him about the good things that happen during the daytime. The flowers and the water and the cute children. The beautiful colours and the songbirds and the warmth on his skin. Those are the kinds of things he wants Laurent to know about the daytime. His life is already governed by darkness so Elyas never wants it to bleed into stories about the light.
"Of course! We'll go see them tomorrow night and we can spend all night with them!" Elyas could never doubt Laurent. The vampire has never given him any reason to. He's never gone back on his word, he's never broken a promise. He's never once disappointed his fox. And at this point, Elyas isn't sure he could.
An entire night spent with them will be much better. He can take the time to perfectly describe what they look like in the daylight. Allow Laurent to properly imagine them in bloom while he's surrounded by their wonderful scent. Yes, taking tomorrow night to go for their walk will be much better.
Tonight is for something a little different now. While he's been able to satiate himself with human energy (ah but some of the younger girls have been so easy to lure out of the sight of others for a kiss or two with the sunshiney red-haired foreigner. He should feel bad about stealing their first kiss along with their energy, but they're so delicious), he longs for something more hearty. And his love hasn't eaten since before they came to this country. It needs to be remedied. He'll not have his vampire starving.
"It's a man with hair the colour of sand and bright blue eyes like I've never seen before! He's broad and quite tall. Taller than either of us, I think! His voice reminds me of water gently flowing over smooth stones. Like a quaint, babbling brook! It doesn't suit him at all!" He takes a moment to giggle to himself at his last comment. "He smells like freshly tilled soil. I think he might be a farmer! You'll love him, my sweet."
What a life they have together! So full of beauty and love and all the joy they can scrape out of the world. The joy Elyas has in meeting and playing with children, in weaving tales for them of his life with Laurent. And Laurent has all that recounted to him so clearly he can see the children's awestruck faces in his mind's eye. While he has no particular fondness for humans, hearing about the children who believe Elyas' stories without fear but with glee. It endears the youngest of humanity to him.
He wonders about the flowers and which might be Elyas' favorite. Tomorrow, Laurent will ask and make special note to sniff that one out. He'll send the servants out for bouquets of that specific flower to fill their villa with its color and scent. Yet another way for him to shower his dearest fox with love and affection.
"Mm," Laurent hums with a nod. "I don't blame you for choosing an earthy one. Does their scent remind you of home?" Laurent vaguely remembers his human life. He thinks there were farmland and hands, the smell of earth always thick and heavy in his memory. He'd be lying if he said he didn't enjoy the earthy ones, too. A laborer or farm worker would be strong (for a human), tan, and muscled. There's no denying the pleasure such a form brings.
If only Laurent could actually see the faces of the children as Elyas told them about the adventures of the fox and his beautiful vampire. He's often thought of nudging Laurent awake in the late afternoon when the children are still allowed outside and bringing the children by the house. Laurent would still be perfectly safe in the darkened bedroom! He could tell the children all of his stories and run around the room with them and for once, Laurent would get to be present for all of it!
Except that the parents would never allow it without them present, and Elyas would never allow the presence of the parents. Waking Laurent up at such an odd time of day with only the bedroom for safety feels like it could potentially leave him a little too vulnerable and Elyas doesn't trust the adults to not take advantage of that if they even so much as suspected his beloved was not one of them.
Not that Laurent would be in any real danger as long as Elyas is there. The fox would gladly rip out their throats and watch them drown in their own blood if it meant protecting his love, but he wouldn't want to put the children through having to see that. Or perhaps he'd have to kill them too and he'd really prefer not to.
There really are no easy solutions to including Laurent in his daytime activities outside of just describing them to him. And while he delights in doing just that (there's something about the way Laurent looks at him when he's talking about his day that makes Elyas fall in love with him all over again), just once he would love to find a way to experience that with him.
If there's a way, Elyas will find it. He has until the end of time to search, after all.
Elyas bounces up and down on the balls of his feet next to Laurent as they get closer to where he's certain their guest will be. "Yes! There's a big, beautiful old tree that I loved to sleep under. Its branches let just enough sunlight through so I could feel it on my skin but not enough that it kept me awake. It was my favourite spot in the springtime. And this farmer smells just like it!" When given the choice, himself, Elyas always tends toward the more the more earthy ones. They always smell like home and are often built strong, man or woman. They're always so pleasant to look at.
"Oh and be careful with this one. He may be big and burly, but he's quite shy. He got so red in the face when I tried to taste him even though we were alone. It was adorable! He's eager though. He'll loosen up once we get him home and away from potentially prying eye, I'm sure of it. He's going to be such a fun guest!"
Then Elyas starts to hop up and down and pats Laurent's arm before pointing toward a group of people gathered just in front of a cute little shop. "There he is! Do you see him? He's with his friends. The tall one!"
Laurent would love to be able to watch his precious fox around the children. Alas, though the world is coming out of it at this time, people are still a superstitious lot. Any excuse they could possibly fashion would cast suspicion on Laurent. Elyas would never endanger him by risking even a chance of that suspicion growing. A pity, as Laurent enjoys the way his fox's face lights and his cadence quickens with enthusiasm when he speaks of the fun he has with the children.
Watching Elyas grow more animated brings a subtle yet fond smile to his face. In times like this, he reminds Laurent of a child himself. In all the best of way! He's energetic and imaginative. Not that he is somehow inferior (as adults often see children) or needs looking after. Laurent is his lover, after all. That makes them equals, true partners in all things. There is no room for one to be superior or inferior to the other.
He squeezes Elyas' arm in his, growing more and more excited to meet the one they'll be entertaining. The more Elyas speaks of him, the greater Laurent's hunger for him grows. A strong, shy, and handsome man who smells of earth and trees, with a voice like a babbling brook. Ah, he's bound to be a delicious treat. Catching sight of the man Elyas points out, Laurent can't help letting a sigh escape him.
"You always choose such beauties, my love. Come, introduce me. I already long for him."
Elyas would sooner burn the little seaside village down around them than allow a single person to cast even an ounce of suspicion on his love. Though he would love to bring a little more of his daylight activities to Laurent through more than just words, he would never even think of putting his Laurent in harm's way like that. No, he'll just have to wait until there's a safer way to reintroduce Laurent to the daytime. Elyas is often an impatient little thing, but he will wait when it comes to Laurent.
Smile brightening as he looks up at his wondrous vampire again. "Oh I just knew you would find him appealing! Come!" He walks a little faster, gently tugging the vampire along by the arm until they reach the small gathering of humans. "Piero?" he says into the small crowd, as though he doesn't know which one is theirs already. Elyas could've picked him out by scent, alone. Though there's also the scent of lightly flowered soap as well, he can't quite be rid of the earthy smells. They're very much a part of him now and will be until his end.
The sandy haired man turns and his eyes grow wide, cheeks flushing a light pink. Elyas beams up at Laurent. "Ah, he remembers me!" He remembers the kiss the fox tried to steal from him, more like. His smile turns a little more gentle and his expression, perfectly innocent, as his attention returns to the human. Oh how wonderful. He is taller than either the fox or his vampire. Elyas was right! He reaches out for Piero's wrist and leads his lovers - both temporary and eternal - away from the crowd. Not far though. Not enough to make the shy man uncomfortable. "Laurent, my heart, this is the man I told you about. His name is Piero."
What a delectable choice, indeed. Elyas always has such excellent taste. Laurent makes no effort to hide his interest as his gaze falls perhaps a bit too heavily on the mortal man. A lovely one! Ruggedly handsome, taller than either of them with the scent of earth and sweat and flowers clinging to him in sharp contrast.
"Piero," he purrs, lifting a hand to his chest and giving a little bow of his head in greeting. "You are everything beloved described and more." There's something silken to his voice, something a little hypnotic to mere mortals. "We would be most delighted if you'd join us at our villa this evening."
Why be subtle when they're far enough from Piero's friends to speak without being overheard? They both want him and, knowing Elyas as he does, Laurent is sure Piero is perfectly aware of the fact.
Only the best for his vampire. Especially for his first meal in their new home. Elyas wanted it to be absolutely perfect, and he wants it to be special. Not just anyone would do. Some nights they aren't quite so choosy. Some nights one of them will merely point to someone and decide they want that one. But this is not some night. It's his vampire's first meal in their new home, it's the first lover they've taken in their new home, it's the first time they'll be together as lovers in their new home. Such a special night requires a special human. Elyas has decided that Piero is such a human with his broad shoulders and scents that bring reminders of home.
Ah that tone in Laurent's voice always sends a delightful shiver up the fox's spine and he lets his hand slip down to grasp Piero's. His hands are a little rough. He may well be a farmer after all! Oh those hands will feel simply lovely later. The human looks over his shoulder at the friends who don't even seem to notice that they've lost a member. Elyas knows they've got him though. An invitation from his beloved dark creature isn't easy to ignore and the fox hasn't exactly been subtle in his own advances when he's run into the man each and every day. Elyas made no secret of the fact that he desired the human, and that his love would as well. They do most everything together, Piero. How wonderful would it be to spend the night with not one, but two of them?
It took a little coaxing (shy about his want for men, perhaps?) but he finally got through to the human about what he wanted, and made Piero understand. And at least a little interested. 'My love and I wish to satisfy ourselves with your body, do you understand?' Oh, if only he realized he didn't truly understand what Elyas was saying to him.
'I... I would love to join you.' Mumbling and stumbling over his words. How precious. And a new flush spreads across his cheeks. "See how shy he gets? Oh, but you don't need to be shy with us, Piero. Now come, let's get you back to the villa. We're eager to entertain our guest!"
"Shy, indeed," Laurent quips with a fond smile. The shy ones, the sweet ones, they're often so delicious. But so, too, are the wicked ones, though in a vastly different way. He flashes a knowing look to Elyas, the sort that commends his beloved for his choice in companion. What a charming lover Piero will make, a wonderful first for them to share together in this new place, in their new home.
Laurent releases Elyas' arm to move around to Peiro's other side. Slipping his arm around the young man's, he began to lead them toward the villa. "What foods do you like, sweet Piero? We shall dine on the terrace. Even in the dark, the view is breathtaking. And the sound of the sea is so calming." Laurent chuckles and offers a fond grin. "Though you must be more accustomed to it than those of us who have just arrived here."
The wicked ones certainly bring their own sort of delicious satisfaction but tonight, Laurent deserves someone sweet. He deserves someone kind and loving. He deserves someone who he can take his time with and savour. While it's fun and delicious to take down some wicked thing and rip them apart, that's not what tonight is about. Tonight is not about the hunt and the butchery. Tonight's not about being the monsters the humans have painted them as. Tonight's about a fox and his enchanting vampire, and simply being together.
Elyas watches Laurent circle around to the other side of their new lover as he threads his fingers with Piero's. He already can't help but miss the touch of his true love but they'll be together again soon enough. Right now, they should be making the young man feel special, like he will be a welcomed addition to their villa. They should be making him feel wanted. And oh, he is most certainly wanted.
"Um, I like meat and vegetables."
"A man after my own heart! It seems our dear Piero endeavours to steal me away from you, my love!" As though anyone could ever hope to even come close. It is fun watching the way Piero sputters and blushes as he tries to explain that he's trying to do no such thing. He's merely a humble farmer and meat is what's readily available to him! It's not a ploy to steal the red-head away. Just a coincidence, he promises! The stuttering makes Elyas laugh. Piero is absolutely charming!
"Oh, yes I suppose I am. I've lived here since I was born." Piero's eyes seem to dart back and forth between the men on either side of him. "I, um, I would love to see your view even still."
Dear sweet Elyas, his most beloved, always such a romantic And so, too, is Laurent. It’s something they have in common: their utter devotion to showing the other each and every day how much they’re loved and valued. This gift of Piero is such a sweet one. A sweet young man for them to love for the night. And, oh, will they love him. Love him, spoil him, give him the best night of his life. A fair trade since it will be his last.
Laurent smiles so sweetly at the young man, running his free hand along Piero’s arm as they walk. He points to a distant place on the hill. Only a few lights flicker in the windows to mark its location. “That is where we live,” he points out. “It’s quite private,” he adds with a saucy grin.
“Perhaps after dining, we can get to know each other even better on the terrace as well. Under the stars and the sea air, ah~” Yes, it will be a most beautiful congress. Laurent and Elyas, the eternal lovers, with this shy, rugged mortal writhing between them. Laurent wonders what sounds they’ll wring from him, will he be breathy and restrained or give in to his desires and sing his pleasure into the night?
“But before all that, my dear Piero, you must allow me to feed you. I’ll have meats and vegetables and cheeses brought to dine on. Have you any head for wine; we must have wine, don’t you agree, my love?”
Despite their overall aversion to humans, it's fun to pick one of the least offensive ones to share their love with for the night (or a few nights, should they take a particular liking to one) and to spoil. It's fun to dote on them and take care of them and then show them how exciting a night with two monsters can be. And it's not merely for the sex and the meal they'll make of the human once they're done. It's not even really about the human, it's about each other. It's about sharing something. It's about caring for something together.
"Oh, my friends and I had been wondering who moved into that villa." Piero looks between the men on either side of him then flushes as though he's suddenly hit with the realization that he actually allowed himself to get comfortable for a moment and open up. Offering up more information than what asked for? Unheard of!
It delight Elyas though. Relax, human. These are the monsters you'll be spending the rest of your life with, after all. You should be comfortable.
Elyas smiles brightly up at Piero and then leans out around him to gaze lovingly at his vampire. "My beautiful Laurent found it for us. We were looking for a change of scenery and this place seemed just perfect for us. It's private while not being too far from your quaint little village. It has sounds of the ocean and a beautiful view of the stars. As Laurent said, you'll have to join us out on the terrace after we get you fed!" Oh Elyas will be sure to eat with him so it's not just the two of them sitting there and watching him eat, but that particular meal is mostly about Piero. Elyas and Laurent will have a chance to eat their fill later.
"Oh, okay. That sounds nice. You don't have to do all that for me though..."
"Nonsense! We're only too happy to do it for you. You're our first guest in our new home. We look forward to spoiling you! And you're absolutely right, my dear Laurent. We absolutely have to have some wine. You'll have some too won't you, Piero?"
"Well I do like to have a glass or two of win with my food..."
Laurent smiles the more Piero relaxes. It’s always better when their guests were comfortable. It makes the whole seduction so much more pleasant. It’s clear Elyas has been working his charm on this shy youth, for that Laurant’s grateful. He couldn’t ask for a more delightful gift than this, their first lover in their new home. Elyas chose so very well.
He listens more than he speaks as they make their way to the villa, enjoying the eager banter of his lover and Peiro’s demure replies. Ah, what a delight it will be to unwind him, to pick him apart until he’s so long in desire that all his hesitations burn away in the heat of it.
When they arrive at the villa, Laurent immediately instructs the servants to bring a variety of foods to the terrace for them. Meats, breads, cheeses, and fruits, along with wine to wash it all down. The lamps are already lit in anticipation of the masters returning home, so they don’t have to worry about sitting in utter darkness. That’s no issue for Laurent, but it would make eating harder for their mortal paramour.
They while away the time in pleasant conversation, Laurent asking Piero about this little seaside town and his life here. The vampire’s questions grow more and more intimate as the evening wears on the wine takes its effect. By that point, Laurent’s peeling grapes and feeding them alternately to Elyas and Piero. The first time he presses his lips to Piero’s to taste the fruit, the lad’s eyes go wide and his cheeks burn. But he smiles shyly and doesn’t object the next time when Lauren trails his tongue over those plush lips.
He watches in wonder as Laurent gives his beloved the same treatment. Each kiss grows deeper until the vampire's tongue sweeps into each man’s mouth, tasting the wet heat of them, mapping out the terrain both familiar and new. In time, the spread of food is forgotten in favor of kisses and exploratory touches. Laurent’s positioned Piero between them so he and Elyas can both taste and touch his skin, hands boldly delving under the young man’s clothes. And Laurent is always reaching out for his fox, too, stealing kisses over Piero’s shoulder, tugging insistently as his clothes.
“We are far too over-dressed to make love under the moonlight,” he laments with a sigh. “My love, will you help me unwrap our dear guest?”
Seduction is always so much more pleasant than manipulation, though Elyas is hardly against using the latter to benefit himself and his Laurent. Oh, Piero was always going to come home with them once the fox had set his sights on him, but the fact that Elyas didn't have to use any underhanded tactics to make it happen just creates a much more pleasant experience. Otherwise there's this underlying tension that never quite goes anywhere. But when they're willing participants, it's a much better experience for everyone. They relax. They get comfortable. The monsters get to take their time and enjoy their new, temporary friend to the fullest.
As the night wears on, Elyas pays less and less attention to the things that Piero is actually saying. Oh, make no mistake, he still pays close attention to the questions being asked, but that's merely because of the one doing the asking. It doesn't matter what Laurent says, Elyas will hang on his every word. Even if the subject doesn't matter to him, it all changes once it's said in Laurent's voice. He could recite it back word for word if asked. And tonight is no different. He listens closely to every question, but pays no attention to the answers. He hears the pitch and tone of Piero's voice, listens to the way his voice changes a little when he gets excited about an answer and the way his words become a little softer and start to run together with the more wine he's given, but he pays the actual words no mind. They won't matter anyway once he and his beloved are through with with this sweet man.
In time, the food is forgotten and it's time to partake of the young man Laurent so expertly positioned between the two of them. If not for that, the fox may have ignored the human entirely. That's not to say he isn't eager for the human, he just finds it so easy to let himself get lost in his vampire's affections. Now that it's all happening, he has to remind himself that this is about the three of them. This isn't the two of them and their human meal.
Though the more breathless and flushed Piero gets, the easier it is for him to keep the fox's attention, for better or for worse.
"The three of us?" Elyas gently nips at the human's bottom lip and then frowns up at him. "You'd want someone to be left out?" He takes hold of Piero's shirt and starts tearing it at the seam. He'll never be getting back in these clothes anyway. "There's plenty of room for everyone, after all. Now, my dear Laurent requested that we get you out of these pesky clothes..." Once the shirt is torn enough, Elyas pulls it free of Piero's torso and tosses it down as he presses his lips to the larger man's bare shoulder.
"Taste his bare skin, my love. It's just as delicious as his mouth." The words are mumbled between soft kisses, all the while Elyas is giving Piero's pants the same treatment as his shirt. Tugging and pulling until he hears them start to tear.
Seduction is always the sweetest way for them to share a lover. Especially this delicious young man Elyas chose for them. A gift, truly, to have this person as their first in a new land. A handsome, charming treat for them to share. If Laurent were more romantic, he might take pause at the fate they’ll bring to this man. Alas, the only romance in his heart is for Elyas, not some mere human.
Ah, but Piero’s shyness is endearing. Yes, indeed the three of them. Laurent’s already imagined every configuration of it: the pair of them taking their turns with the young man, the three of them enjoying each other, Laurent and Elyas both squeezed tightly inside that strong human body. Oh, yes, there’s so much delight to be wrought before the inevitable end.
And this man, with his strong body and the scent of the earth on him seems like someone they can enjoy for many hours.
The vampire flashes a smile with too-sharp teeth to his beloved gumiho before leaning in to trail his cool lips over Piero’s hot skin. He can hear the young man’s pulse racing, smell their collective desire as clearly as the sea salt in the air. Mouthing down the column of Piero’s throat, he flicked those dark eyes up to peer at Elyas.
“You’re right, my love,” he breathed out.
One hand reaches around the human to caress his beloved fox. That is all he needs, if he’s honest. Elyas is the only one he desires night after night for these long centuries. None can satisfy him but the gumiho. The other hand moves to bare skin, smiling privately when Piero’s shivers. Is it from Laurent’s cold skin or the thrill of that hand moving with boldness to intimate places?
Alas, only a tease as Laurent has his own clothes to be rid of. And he wants to help Elyas with his. It takes little encouragement for Piero to join in, his hands less certain as they open buttons and unseen fastens on both vampire and fox’s attire.

"Well, my love, what do you think of the West?"
no subject
It's beautiful."
no subject
But was there anything more important than the words formed by Elyas' lips? But the joy that lights in his eyes when he recounts his adventures? Ah, no. Laurent thinks not. He could read property deeds to the vampire and the world would stop for him to listen.
no subject

Shall we take a stroll while there is life going on around us?"
no subject
Oh, the introductions will serve more as a way to point out the people he's had his eye on.
no subject
I am most eager to meet your new friends."
no subject
"I'll leave it up to you to pick someone for us to get to know better."
no subject
"Do you wish to invite a guest home with us tonight?"
no subject
I love having company."
no subject
But it's gone quickly enough that Laurent's ire toward the animals he's never even encountered eases. That dazzling smile is enough to make him recall the youthful flutterings of his heart when he still walked beneath the sun's light. Who needs the sun when they have this? An eternal love that's renewed and strengthened with each passing moment.
"Let us see the flower tomorrow," he suggests. "If we're to entertain tonight, we should hurry to find your friends before they retire." He leans a bit closer, dropping his voice to quietly murmur, "I am fiercely hungry." For more than just human blood, his tone implies.
no subject
"Then let's find our guest and get them home quickly." Oh, but the fox is also eager for a little more than human meat, as evidenced by the way he picks up his pace a little.
no subject
Tell me everything!"
no subject
You'll love him, my sweet."
no subject
"I look forward to hosting him."
no subject
The tall one!"
no subject
I already long for him."
no subject
His name is Piero."
no subject
"Piero," he purrs, lifting a hand to his chest and giving a little bow of his head in greeting. "You are everything beloved described and more." There's something silken to his voice, something a little hypnotic to mere mortals. "We would be most delighted if you'd join us at our villa this evening."
Why be subtle when they're far enough from Piero's friends to speak without being overheard? They both want him and, knowing Elyas as he does, Laurent is sure Piero is perfectly aware of the fact.
no subject
We're eager to entertain our guest!"
no subject
Laurent releases Elyas' arm to move around to Peiro's other side. Slipping his arm around the young man's, he began to lead them toward the villa. "What foods do you like, sweet Piero? We shall dine on the terrace. Even in the dark, the view is breathtaking. And the sound of the sea is so calming." Laurent chuckles and offers a fond grin. "Though you must be more accustomed to it than those of us who have just arrived here."
no subject
"I, um, I would love to see your view even still."
no subject
