"This is how I know you don't wear makeup." Eli stuck his tongue out at him, not afraid to show off his age because he knew this man loved him. Didn't think he was too young. "I'll take it off and then we can shower as long as we want."
"You've known me for years. You know I don't," he chuckled. And he certainly doesn't pay close attention to his daughter's hygiene habits other than taking note that she spends a long time in the shower and never leaves him enough hot water.
"I'll show you what to do. Especially since I have to get it off your face too." Not that he was in a hurry to get up. This sleepy messing around made him so happy. James had the sexiest sleepy voice he'd ever heard. So thick and husky.
"So you're going to have to hold still to let me take care of you."
It was nice spending a morning like this, without any cares. Ah, but wouldn't it be wonderful to have more lazy mornings like this, just the two of them. Well, no sense in lamenting what they can't have yet.
He smiled at him some more and then gave him one more kiss. They'd have to get up eventually but this was also nice. If only because he'd dreamed of this for two years now. Getting to live it? Amazing.
James couldn't help smiling against Eli's lips. His trailed the backs of his fingers over one side of Eli's face, then reached back to stroke his hair. It was amazing the way hearing those words from the boy's lips made his heart race. It would be too easy to be jaded and wonder what someone who's barely a man knows about love. But James' is a poet through and through and has no reason to doubt Eli's feelings. Why should he? Everyone knows love at some point or another. It doesn't discriminate by age.
"I love you," he echoed, gazing so fondly at the blurry image of Eli's face. Then he sighed heavily. "Unfortunately, we shouldn't stay in bed all day."
"Mmm. You raise a valid point even if I would like to counter with we totally could."
But he was just messing around. Eli wasn't one who liked staying in bed all day. Even when he was exhausted he still needed to get up and be doing things. So he just grinned before starting to sit up. His hips were definitely sore but he was kind of loving the reason as to why.
James chuckled lightly and gave Eli's shoulder a playful push. He couldn't imagine lounging in bed all day. He always seemed too active for that. And James felt much the same. His form of laziness was sitting at a desk, writing or grading papers, not lying in bed all day long.
He pushed himself up and swung his legs over the side of the bed with a little groan. He didn't normally sleep naked, but there wasn't any reason to put his pajamas back on last night. Now that they've been intimate, he didn't see any reason to be ashamed of his nudity now. James moved around the bed and held out a hand to help pull Eli to his feet.
Oh. He got a show. Eli made sure to appreciate what he was seeing, smiling widely as the man came over to offer his hand. Taking it, he got up and felt a little wobbly but nothing terrible. Definitely some sore hips though. Ready to reassure his boyfriend though, he gave him another kiss before they went to the bathroom and Eli fished around to get some stuff from Mallory's things.
Maybe he should just leave a couple things here. Just in case...
A thought for later. Right now he was indicating that James should sit for him.
He'd hear no complaints. The bathroom was a little tight with all of Mallory's things there, but James wanted them both to feel at home. Not transporting clothes and toiletries was part of that. He didn't consider them visitors.
James nodded and took a seat on the commode. It was a little cold on his bare skin, but that was a small price to pay.
It was amazing how fast Eli got makeup off himself and James when he had the right products. Soon he had them both barefaced and even gave the man another kiss before smiling and studying him. "Hmmmm...yep. Clean. We are safe to shower now."
Remaining still the whole time, James just watched as Eli worked. Then, after that kiss, he simply asked, "And why couldn't we have don't that in the shower?"
"Because the water would get in the way of the efficacy of the product. You should always remove your makeup first with a proper makeup remover first and then follow that up with cleansing yours skin." Eli booped his nose for good measure, delighted to teach his teacher something.
"It would be like writing on paper without sharpening your pencil. Possible but not as good."
Eli loved how James was so confused and yet still accepting of the fact that he was learning. It was cute and gave him such an endearing quality. Smiling after him, he went to put things away before moving to join him, stepping under the hot water when it was ready.
A sigh left him as the heat sank into his aching body. This was so nice. Smiling up at him, he ran his fingers along his cheek.
It wasn't a very large shower stall, but it was big enough for the two of them if they stood pretty close. Which meant they'd have to help each other wash if they didn't want to be bumping elbows. James didn't mind that.
A warm smile settled on his lips and he tilted his head against Eli's fingers. After a few seconds, he took Eli's hand and guided it to rest over his heart. "You know, Mallory will be off to college in a few months and I won't be your teacher anymore... You could always move in then."
He gasped softly at the offer. They hadn't been dating that long. Christmas break hadn't even happened yet! But already James was that sure that he wanted him to move in with him. Eli's cheeks colored because he was so moved by how passionately sure the man was.
Logically, he'd have the space. They could have a proper bedroom. With that much time, James could get the loft finished, maybe fashioned into a space for Eli to dance. He wasn't doing anything with that space. It made sense for Eli to save on expenses by not having to pay rent and such. Plus, it was more convenient for them to see each other if they lived together.
Less logically? He really just wanted to have the boy there with him.
Would people talk? Probably. But what could they do? Well, he could lose his job, but there are other jobs. He could go back to teaching at university. Or focus on his writing and teach a couple of courses at community college. But all that's a worst-case scenario. Chances are people would gossip and he'd get a few weird looks and that would be that.
Eli smiled then, the whole look lighting up his face. This was all a dream. And if it was then he never wanted to wake up. It was exactly what he'd wanted to happen this whole time and here it was happening for real. Leaning forward, he pressed his lips to his boyfriend's, feeling like he was kissing him in the rain with how the water of the shower fell on them.
He definitely was not saying no to this. Not only would it logically work better for him but he just had always wanted this. Was it fast? Sure. But it felt right and he always followed his gut.
"When I graduate I'll find a better job to help with me moving in here."
James pressed his hand over Eli's as he leaned in to meet that kiss. Yeah, it was fast, but the practicalities of it gave them plenty of time. If Eli ended up going off to college... Well, if things were still going well (which James hoped they would be), maybe they'd be better served if he sold the house and followed Eli around for his education and career. There was no guarantee his dance career would flourish where they were. But that's a thought for a few months from now.
"Until then, we'll have to make do with alternating weekends." Since that's what his schedule was with Mallory. "And if you ever have another night like last night, don't hesitate to call me. Any time without exception."
Eli nodded in understanding. Not only at the alternating weekends but at the fact that he could always call him. Because he knew that meant that even if Mallory was there he could call him and have safety. That was significant and he was not about to miss what was being said between the lines.
"I will. I'll call you if I need you. And see you every other weekend until I graduate."
An emergency is an emergency. It wouldn't look too strange for a teacher to come to the aid of a student in a case like that. And if Mallory was there? He'd let Eli take the hideaway bed and James would sleep on the couch. Figuring out turns in the bathroom would be the most awkward part.
James finally moved his hand away from Eli's so he could comb his fingers through the boy's hair. Even slightly blurry, he could still make out enough of Eli's features to find him handsome. Turning his head this way and that -- trying to find the best angle to get the clearest view with his imperfect eyes -- he just gazed at him for an increasingly long time. It was strange and outright flattering to have Eli's heart. To have had it for years without even knowing.
"I wonder how I never really saw you before," he mused.
It was kind of fun standing there in the hot water while James was just admiring him. He knew his boyfriend couldn't see as well without his glasses but that was okay. He still felt plenty seen. Especially now after the night before when everything had just clicked into place for their first time having sex together.
Until very recently, Eli had been just another student. Someone James would invest a few years in teaching and never see or hear from again. He cared as much as he would for any prized pupil. But now Eli was so much more than that to James. Maybe this romance didn't begin in the most ideal way. Maybe it took James seeing Eli at that club to really see him as a man, to see him as an object of erotic desire, to see him as someone with a deep inner life beyond the classroom.
One more kiss and then Eli went to look for the soap. It was a little tight in the small shower but he didn't mind. After all, anything he was bumping into was a very sexy body so it was great.
"Now you see me and a lot of me honestly. It's the best."

Okay not kind of. Definitely loving.

That said, James got up to get the shower started. They definitely needed to get cleaned up after last night.
