❝ spring for flirting but fall for the untamed delicious wild things ❞

His smile grew as he set the blankets aside for later and pulled his coat and boots off. It was easy for him to navigate his way over to the couch where he grinned at his friend.
"What's this all about?" he asked even as he lifted the blanket to get under there with him.

"I wanted to welcome you back from the cold."

"You succeeded. Thanks. I really love this."

Honestly, Silvio could probably tell if it was going to rain better than Simon could with that inhuman sense of smell (that Simon knew nothing about at this point!). Simon knew he didn't need any excuse if he wanted to be close to Silvio. All he had to do was ask. But this felt more organic. Just snuggling together by the fire. And yes, Simon did wiggle just a little closer when Silvio dropped that arm around him.

The cheating kind of fast really since he could go back and forth between wolf and man. Wolf being a lot faster even if he was already extremely fast on two legs. Sniffing the air to get a better idea of the exact location of the coffee, he reached out to feel a little then smiled when he found it. Picking it up, he brought it over so he could have a sip.
"This is great. Nice and warm with my favorite person in the world."

“It’s the least I can do.” After everything Silvio’s done for him, after everything Silvio’s become for him. It’s not that Simon felt he owed Silvio, only that he wanted to show him equal kindness and respect.

"You know you don't have to repay me right? Just knowing that I can be there for you is enough for me."

"You mean a lot to me, Simon. Just because of that you're already there for me in so many ways."
no subject
"It's mutual," he murmured quietly. Silvio's been there for him through such a hard time, that one incident, but also has done so much to help him unpack his own personal hangups that led to that incident in the first place. There's no denying he thought of Silvio as a very dear friend... Even more than that, but he wasn't sure how to label it, or if he even should.
"You're so special to me," he added, even softer still.

"I have a question for you. It'll seem a random one but do you believe in things like magic? The supernatural?"
He'd start there, see what he was working with first.
no subject
"Well, I believe in God. That's pretty supernatural, right?" Simon's never really experienced anything supernatural directly, that he knew of. Little did he know.

A deep breath to steady himself and then he continued. "There are supernatural creatures in this world, Simon. Beings who hide from the world for their own safety and privacy. You've probably seen them in movies, read about them in books, heard about them in stories. I'm one of them."
He made sure his coffee was safely set aside then he continued.
"I'm a werewolf. A person who carries the soul of a wolf within him."

When the confession came, Simon wasn't sure what to say. He knew Silvio well enough to realize this wasn't some silly prank. The weird part was that... Simon didn't even disbelieve him. Not even for a second. But accepting this truth somehow seemed harder. Werewolves and other creatures he thought were fiction were real?? But he also thought, well, why wouldn't they be? Fiction usually has some basis in truth, right?
The silence stretched on, but Simon's grip on Silvio's hand didn't change. No, he wasn't letting go. After a long moment, he finally said, a little more quietly than usual, "Is that why you go away every month?"

He gave his hand a soft squeeze, his eyes lowering as if his gaze were. But they both knew his eyes weren't capable of that. They never would be again either.
"You're very important to me, Simon. I didn't want to scare you so I kept it from you for a bit. I hope you'll forgive me for that. But I want you to know who I am. What I am."
no subject
"It's a lot to take in," he murmured. "But thank you for telling me. For trusting me. If I can do anything to help..." When he's scared and alone, Simon meant.
no subject
So he decided to just...say what was on his mind instead rather than simply doing it. Just to help test the waters. "...you're making me want to kiss you so badly right now."
no subject
Swallowing hard, he lifted his eyes once more. Oh, but Silvio really was so handsome... "You can..."
no subject
Lifting a hand, he gently cupped Simon's cheek then leaned forward to press his lips to his friend's. It was soft and only lingered a moment but it was enough to make his heart rush in his chest. Pulling back a little, he smiled softly and brushed his cheek with his thumb.
"I'll admit I've wanted to do this for awhile now."
no subject
But right now? He didn't have a single doubt.
Butterflies beat their wings in his stomach and he breathed out a soft sigh when their lips met. Soft, brief, nothing to cause any alarm. Ah, but it was also wonderful. Simon canted his head into Silvio's touch and smiled before slowly opening his eyes once more.
"Thank you for being patient with me."
no subject
Silvio rested their foreheads together and closed his eyes. Yes, that had been well worth waiting for. Knowing that he got to have this moment with him meant everything to the wolf. He felt so happy in that moment and he couldn't stop smiling.
"You don't have to answer now if you don't want to. You can think on it but would you consider..." Oh what was the human phrasing again? Right, right. "...dating me?"
no subject
Simon's heart stuttered at his next words. It was already beating faster from their first kiss and now this? Simon shook his head, forehead still against Silvio's. "I don't need to think on it." Lifting a hand, he pressed his palm to Silvio's cheek and smiled. "I would be so happy to date you."
no subject
Kissing him again, he let the kiss linger on a bit before pulling back. He still couldn't stop smiling as his fingers traced those handsome, handsome features. "You've made me so happy. I didn't want to push you before you were ready but the fact that you are with me... I've never been this happy. Not since my pack leader agreed to let me become a wolf."
no subject
He hummed softly into that lingering kiss, slipping his fingers back to thread through Silvio's hair. When he opened his eyes again, they were half-lidded but so full of bliss. His cheeks actually ached a little from how wide his smile was. Simon's hand slid down to rest at the back of Silvio's neck and he sighed happily.
"Do you want to tell me about that? I'd love to hear it."
no subject
"About my pack? There's a lot to tell. I lived with them for around a hundred years. What would you like to know?"
He gave him another kiss. "They would have loved you."
