Hello fellow person who dresses all in black regardless of the season. Not that Snake would've noticed at first, but for the scarf that floated by. It isn't his, but a quick glance around reveals who it belongs to. Since he's close, Snake makes chase, finally catching the errant garment before it had a chance to drift into traffic or mud. It did brush against the ground, so he's dusting the end off as he walks back over to Neon.

"This is yours, right?"

Neon gives chase, warning people as he shuttles toward them and swerves as best as he can so he doesn't lose the scarf. Look, his mom got him that scarf. And despite his constant denial, he occasionally is still a mama's boy at heart.

Much to his surprise and delight, it's a handsome stranger who manages to retrieve the accessory easily and he's too busy staring to even notice that it had briefly gotten dirty.

"Ye-ah," Neon confirms, a little breathless. He hunches over, hands on his knees. Damn, he should work out. "Th-thanks..."

Snake offers a friendly smile as he holds the scarf out. He doesn't mind waiting for Neon to recover his breath; Snake doesn't have any pressing engagements to rush him. He tries to avoid those sorts of things.

He turns his focus on scarf so he's not just staring at the poor guy while he's fighting for his life. "It's cute. Would've been a shame to lose it."

To his credit, he manages to bounce back relatively quickly, even taking the time to flip his luxurious hair back and brush his bangs away from his forehead.

The image is ruined immediately when Neon adds, "Yeah, my mom got it for me." He tries not to wince at himself. It's not the best first impression he could make.

Actually, it's an amazing first impression! What's not to like about a guy who's willing to admit that? His lips curl in an amused smile and he takes it upon himself to wrap the rescued scarf around Neon's neck. A few times. And then tuck the end in so it's no longer in immediate danger of blowing away.

"Then it would've been even worse to lose it."

Well, that's kind of cute, Neon will admit to it.

"That seems pretty damn secure now," he remarks wryly, raising his eyebrows. But he isn't wrong. With that knot, he doesn't think he'll have to frantically shop around for the same scarf, wracked with guilt.

"Thanks. Again."

"Where you heading? There's a festival or something down the street." He saw a flyer a few blocks back advertising some autumn activities like pumpkin carving and making caramel apples and apple butter and such. Maybe Neon was making his way there before losing his precious scarf.
