Halloween for a moroi vampire is admittedly rather amusing. After traveling outside of the grounds of school and the town adjacent to it, Lissa and a few trusted friends have made their way to a party for locals, all of whom remain unaware that there is a whole community of vampires and their protectors living just across the border.

They come across a medieval tavern decked out in Halloween finery with fabric ghosts in the windows and lights strung across the bartop. It's easier to blend in here, especially when she has a black mask, hair pulled back into a sleek ponytail, clad in a figure-hugging jumpsuit. There are, of course, cat ears atop her head to complete the look. Not the most creative, but it was the best she could do having learned of this outing only yesterday.

Having fed beforehand, she feels entirely at ease in the crowd, though she does feel a little annoyed at having to wait so long to order a pumpkin-flavored beer. (The tavern does not have fancy cocktails.)

"Pardon me... hello?"
