Oh and how Nam does love to shimmer and shine. He has no real use for things such a gems and precious stones, but he does love them. A way to shine in his otherwise dull human skin. Flawless, luminous skin, but still dull by his standards. Dull when compared to his beautiful, radiant scales. Made less dull, however, by the addition of the necklace, of anything the bird chooses to gift him with. He really does have a talent for choosing the right offerings and the most beautiful gifts.

Nam slides his hand over the necklace yet again, tracing the glittering stones of various sizes as he makes a path up to where they meet his throat. He's not always been one for things like necklaces as he doesn't always feel comfortable with something encircling his throat, yet he's never had much of a problem wearing one that the bird's gifted him with. Funny how that works, isn't it? He runs his finger along the top of the stunning piece of jewellery then drops his hand down onto Gaja's arm, letting it come to rest right in front of where his other arm is already draped. He lightly pats the bird's arm to indicate that they should keep with their slow meanderings through the topiaries and lanterns.

"Once the sun rises, I'll be leaving here. That's more than long enough to leave my home without its guardian." Almost too long, but he so rarely ventures this far from home (so rarely that his own goodbyes come morning will be quick. No more than their host, really) that he should really make the most of it, shouldn't he? Stay away as long as he dares, be among others for a few hours, even if he never sees them, and see the phoenix against a different backdrop. That sounds like the perfect way to make the most of his time away from home.
