While Elyas may have little use for humans, he usually quite likes their children. He likes to play with them and tell them stories about his mountain as well as his love and they listen so intently. He tells them stories of nine-tailed foxes and vampires and they giggle. And then they play pretend as a whole host of different creatures. They always seem to choose him to be the fox because of his bright red hair. Of course he never protests!
But only when the adults aren't around. He won't even pretend to be a fox in their presence. Even if these people know nothing of his kind, he won't take that chance. Besides, adults ruin all the fun.
Elyas nods his head enthusiastically. Oh that's a much better idea! If they were to go and visit the fields before they get to the tiny, populated area of town, they might miss out on meeting Elyas' new friends. And if they decide to go after, they can't take their time entertaining their guest. Going tomorrow is a brilliant idea. It'll give Elyas a chance to make their night absolutely perfect.
His smile changes with the drop of his beloved Laurent's voice. It becomes softer, yet almost predatory. "Then let's find our guest and get them home quickly." Oh, but the fox is also eager for a little more than human meat, as evidenced by the way he picks up his pace a little.
