Though Gaura had clung to Henry's hand as hard as he could when they'd been sent back it hadn't worked. He'd still ended up in his very tiny apartment in Los Angeles alone. It hurt but he was grateful for the memories he was able to keep. It helped him to keep moving forward to be utterly alone again. Gaura found it painful and there were nights he cried himself to sleep as he thought about all that happiness but he knew he would never regret it.

Life went on and he kept living. Barely surviving once again but still surviving. He'd just lost another job but he was used to that. At least he had enough to get through the month for groceries and rent while he looked for another job. That was something that he could be grateful for as he gathered everything he needed into bags to carry out.

It was a long walk back to his place and through a dangerous neighborhood but that was also something he was used to. It was how he'd lived his life from the age of 16 onward.

But the last thing he expected to hear was his own name. Or the one voice that he'd come to know above all others. The ring on his finger suddenly felt so heavy and he wondered if he was dreaming this. Freezing where he stood on the sidewalk, he looked around past the people in the hopes of seeing the only face he'd ever known in his entire life, praying that he would still know it. It would be too cruel if that had been taken away from him.

And then he saw him. Dark curls and expressive grey eyes. Gasping, he felt tears form in his eyes and the bags fell from his arms to the ground. But he didn't care about that at all. He didn't even notice when the tears fell down his face as he ran over to the love of his life and threw his arms around him. Though he knew that PDA wasn't Henry's style none of that was in the foreground of his mind at the moment. It couldn't be.

He was too busy crying and clinging to this man he'd thought he'd never see again. "You're here. You're really here. Henry..."
