Meanwhile, Hyun-su puts the same thing to the test a lot in service of the rest of the survivors. It hurts every time but he does it anyway. So far he's been pretty unkillable as well. He doesn't really see it as a perk. More of an inconvenience. Some day, though, he'll be out of this awkward in-between stage and he'll probably be destructible again. He's killed monsters. They can be killed.

"It's all the time. It doesn't stop." It feels odd to admit it out loud, that the monster is always whispering in his ear while waiting for a weak moment, but it's also strangely freeing. Besides, he doesn't know how this whole thing with Jae works so what's the harm, right? Maybe his admission will never actually leave this dream.
