Sleep held tight for a few minutes longer, until the pleasant feeling of Eli's fingers trailing over his skin drew James back to the waking world. He blinked through the haze of sleep, pulling the arm on which Eli rested closer. A little half-awake morning hug of sorts. Once his vision cleared a little -- everything was still blurry without his glasses -- James let out a long sigh and smiled. It wasn't a beaming sort of smile, he was too tired still for that, but it was full of warmth and happiness.
