He did let go to make it easier to walk, cuddling into that strong side when they were at the couch. Blowing on his drink, he had a sip of it. Did he want to? No. But he also did at the same time. Because it had been a really creepy experience that had freaked him out quite a bit.

"A guy came in. I don't know if he was drunk or high but he was really into me. He kept reaching for me while I was dancing and the bouncers threw him out. We don't know how he got back inside but somehow he did. And..."

Eli let out a breath. "I felt his hand on my ass when I was paying attention to another person. It was scary to turn around and see him trying to get into the briefs I was wearing. They threw him out again but he called to me and said that he'd make sure that he got me home tonight after my shift. So I asked Joe to stand with me outside and I called you."

A couple more sips and he felt himself calming, feeling so much safer now that he was with his boyfriend. "Why I said thanks earlier... It's because you kept your word and followed through without question. It means a lot to me."

He looked up at him with a smile that he was finally able to find. "You're my hero."
