“Somewhere pretty, huh?” Django looked off to the middle distance, then threw back his drink and tossed some cash on the bar. Rising to his feet, he offered an arm to Chasin, no fucks given about what others might see or think of it. Surely it wasn’t some big secret that they slept together every now and then.
“I know just the place.”
Django’s pretty sure Chasin traveled the same way he did – or similarly. The how and whys of it working were beyond Django’s comprehension – physics and such weren’t his thing. It worked at that’s all the mattered. It was his personal preference not to open portals to other worlds in front of locals. So he led Chasin down the block and around the corner to a secluded alley before leading him through the portal to the most beautiful world he knew of.
It was a place where technology and nature existed harmoniously. It was the closest thing Django’s ever seen to a true utopia. The exact opposite of his homeworld. As he guides Chasin to the hotel, Django offered a sly grin.
“Ever been here before? They don’t usually let in a lot of tourists.”
