Simon has a small apartment in LA. It’s just him, he doesn’t need a lot. But he picked a thriving neighborhood because he liked being in the midst of life. People were always on the street, shops and restaurants were on his doorstep or, at least, within a few blocks walk. And it was on the bus line to the dance studio he rehearsed in. All in all, very ideal.
Of course, he has his favorite places. Especially for coffee. There’s a place Simon found about two blocks away he really enjoyed. Over the last few years, he’s become something of a mid-morning regular. Latte and an apple turnover, every time without fail. He liked to sit there and people-watch. He never seemed to be in a hurry when he gets there, or particularly rushed to leave.
Though naturally introverted and intensely private, Simon certainly knows how to play a part. He’s a professional performer, after all. Despite all of that, he likes being around people. He likes to go where crowds of people gather, so tonight, he plays the role of club goer. He does this every few weeks, just to be around people outside of his professional life.
Simon’s not thinking of any of that right now. He’s too busy enjoying the crush of bodies around him as the thrum of music nearly deafens him. He feels it rattling in his bones more than he actually hears it. It’s enough to keep the beat, though. But if anyone wants to talk, they’ll have to excuse him for leaning in so close his breath brushes against their ear. Oh, a drink? Sure, he’ll take one… even though he doesn’t drink usually.
He doesn’t mind the flirting. Simon does pride in his appearance, after all. He didn’t spend an hour doing hair and makeup just to go unnoticed. By the time last call’s announced and the lights flash for those who couldn’t hear it over the throbbing music, Simon’s pressed close with an arm draped around their shoulder and his other hand’s stroking a cheek.
Something of his natural shyness leaks out of his seemingly confident demeanor as Simon leans in to ask, “Wanna go somewhere else?”
Coffee shop (the meet-cute option)

King of the nightclub (possibly NSFW option)
